Public Private Outreach and Dialogue

Achievement of USAID's Jordan Economic Development Program principal goals is deeply rooted in the ability to encourage dialogue and cooperation between its parties; these parties include the public sector, private sector, local communities and academia. To achieve this, the Public-Private Dialogue and Outreach solution employs creative mechanisms and broad communications initiatives to enhance and drive each of the components’ objectives and ideas.

The Public-Private Dialogue and Outreach solution is systematically incorporated in the program's core priority sectors , and the enabling environment. Through these components, the program will seek to foster dialogue and partnerships with the key players in the areas of creating and enhancing market driven initiatives in Jordan’s business environment, technology and innovation sector, gender integration issues, workforce development and vocational training, financial markets and government entities.

Another aspect of this solution is to help enable the positive change of mindsets of Jordanian citizens in terms of perceptions towards issues hindering the growth of businesses and productivity, through  facilitating a change in mindsets and attitudes in the public, and private sector, and encouraging the public sector and academia to be prompted to answering calls to change and improvements. The solution’s means of achieving these goals are conducted through its public awareness campaigns,  comprehensive training, and outreach activities.

The program's essential role is to create opportunities in their various forms through partnerships in the Government of Jordan, USAID and across the private sector.
