Professional Communities at SABEQ currently support approximately 480 Jordanian professionals, creating a means for these professionals to assist each other, and receive outside support through the transfer of ideas, experiences, and expertise. Professional Communities also provide access to hundreds of reform support resources – captured by PC members themselves and external organizations - that can be easily accessed, understood, and applied by Jordanian professionals. PCs are made up of individuals working in the respective area, and the companies they represent.
The professional communities offered by SABEQ are the following:
- Strategic Management
- Trade and Export Development
- Human Resources
- Media Economic Reporters
- Public Sector Development
Each professional community offered by SABEQ consists of three to six executive roundtables (ERTs) per quarter. Executive Roundtables are small community sub-groups that discuss niche topics of top priority to each specific group. The executive roundtables are facilitated by a subject matter expert.
Examples on executive roundtables held under the Strategic Management community are Strategic Action Planning, Change Management, Balanced Scorecard, and Business Intelligence. Trade and Export Development includes the roundtables Market Intelligence, Competition Analysis, E-Marketing, and Innovative Marketing. Lastly, the professional community of Human Resources consists of the roundtables Leadership Development, Motivation and Incentives, Talent Management Training Needs Assessments, Succession Planning, and Performance Management.
The executive roundtables are primarily determined to support individuals who are committed to actively carrying out reforms in their respective companies, or pursuing a common purpose. Round tables focus mainly on supporting actions that lead to reform and ultimately greater firm productivity.
